We had some problems initially with veg food, which was addressed nicely by Chef Manoj and manager Susi and we were happy with the food later. However many other things can be improved at the resort like moving around the island. Everything is too expensive which is fine but we dint find it worth the price after experiencing the water sports, scuba dive etc. There are many better options to stay in Maldives at a higher budget but if this fits your budget then go for it. 295424DSteph Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Upon arrival by boat we could see this place was beautiful. Initially we were given a beach bungalow along the east side of the island where the beach had been affected by the Tsunami and where the damaged water bungalows were being renovated. When we stepped out onto the beach we could hear the distant sound of hammers tapping. Had my hubby not been a builder this wouldn't have bothered us but as we were trying to get away from it all we requested to be moved onto the west side of the island.
I would like to acknowledge the GM Kuni who leads from the front and thast why teh etam she has is so effiocient, caring and lovomg to guests. Although travelled throughout the world, I didn't expect that every step was covered when you enter the resort.... employees everywhere.... (not suprising when you know that only 260 rooms and about 600/700 employees). The rooms are normal, not very deluxe but have everything you need to have in a hotelroom. Including beachtowels!!!! (so don't bring them like I did, as this is just extra in your luggage) The outside shower was a real treatment, although the outside garden that comes with the shower was a bit of a mess. T2972SOrob Generally excellent Had super time with young family. Restaurants, rooms, kids club (especially) excellent. Amenities perfect for size of resort. The water sports on offer were super, and the snorkelling in immediate vicinity of island OUTSTANDING. Would prefer to see more plastic being collected from sea there needs to be a better system in place to be able to communicate with managerial staff. Trying to extend our stay (by paying not inconsiderate amounts of money) was a headache and at times bordered on rude (especially considering the amounts being paid) Management need to pull their weight and make an appearance. However their front of house staff are excellent and they made this a 5* holiday for us (esp aysha @ kids club, certain waiting staff-hey sameer, and hospitality-shout out to alok)!! busch2021 Enjoyed almost everything nice stay, very friendly and willing people. good housereef, quite good food and services. GO THERE! Lot of plants in good conndition. Divingscool got great people, except one italian lady, who seems to forget WHERE and WHO the people are, who bring the money and that those are on vacancy and not in a bootcamp.
